CPS Teachers Ratify New Agreement

CPS teachers this week voted to ratify a three-year contract by an overwhelming margin of 67%-33%.  Nearly 80% of teachers voted.  Many believe this agreement will be considered one of the most forward-looking contracts in the country.

CPS teachers, as well as the CPS Board and Administration, deserve the credit.  They came together to support what will help best serve students.  The key now will be to continue to support one another as CPS begins to implement these new plans.

We thank our teachers for showing once again their commitment to improving schools.  We also thank the CPS Board and Administration for demonstrating the same level of commitment to strengthening student achievement for every child in CPS.
